Custom System Integration (CSI)
(seen above with Mike on the left and Dave on the right).
The Binghamton University Linux Technology Center and Custom
System Integration (CSI) partnered together to develop a Test Station,
based on Open Computing applications, for testing automobile computer
modules.
Dave Jones, GM CSI: "Teaming Binghamton
University's new Linux Technology Center (LTC) allowed CSI to bid on
a project we would have normally let pass.
After completing our project with the LTC, we have the potential to
start out with a CSI standard product, that we can leverage into expanded
marketplaces."
Michael Head, Computer Science Graduate Student and
emerging Linux pro: "I was particularly excited that Linux job
opportunities were starting to be officially supported by the school
administration and local business," Head says. By the time he
completed his work on a project with local company Custom
System Integration (CSI), Head had introduced several open source
tools and projects to the organization, including Eclipse, gcc, GTK,
Glade, etc.
