The Binghamton University Linux Technology Center and Custom System Integration (CSI) partnered together to develop a Test Station, based on Open Computing applications, for testing automobile computer modules.

Dave Jones, GM CSI: "Teaming Binghamton University's new Linux Technology Center (LTC) allowed CSI to bid on a project we would have normally let pass.

After completing our project with the LTC, we have the potential to start out with a CSI standard product, that we can leverage into expanded marketplaces."

Michael Head, Computer Science Graduate Student and emerging Linux pro: "I was particularly excited that Linux job opportunities were starting to be officially supported by the school administration and local business," Head says. By the time he completed his work on a project with local company Custom System Integration (CSI), Head had introduced several open source tools and projects to the organization, including Eclipse, gcc, GTK, Glade, etc.
